1. Introduction

AsiaSat Media Technology Limited ("we", "us", "our") respects your legal rights of privacy when collecting, storing, using and transmitting personal data. It is our policy to comply with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of the Laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ("PDPO"). In doing so, we will require our staff to comply with strict standards of security and confidentiality.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the DutyReport mobile application (the "App") and any related services. We seek to explain to you in the clearest way possible what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

2. Definitions

"Personal data" means any personally identifying information or data (such as names, email addresses, telephone numbers) from which it is practicable for the identity of an individual to be ascertained.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Personal Information

Your account is set up and administered by your related organisation, which provides us with the information needed to operate your account on the App. This may include your name, login credentials, contact information, and other information relevant to your use of the App. We hold and process this information for the purpose of operating your account and providing you with access to the App and its related services.

3.2 Technical Information

When you use the App, certain technical information is collected automatically. This information does not identify you personally, but may include:

• technical details about your device, such as its model, manufacturer, operating system and version, and IP address; and
• information about how and when you access the App.

This information is used for the purposes described in Section 4.

4. Use of Your Information

We use information collected via the App for a variety of purposes, including:

(a) to enable communications between users and the operators of the App, where users have consented;

(b) to provide service announcements, administrative messages, and communications about the App and our services, including account notifications and password resets;

(c) to maintain the security and operation of the App;

(d) for internal analytics and reporting purposes;

(e) to comply with our legal obligations.

5. Disclosure of Your Information

We do not rent, sell, or trade your personal information. We do not permit data brokers to collect information through the App. We disclose information only in the circumstances set out below:

(a) where you have agreed to a specific disclosure;

(b) where disclosure is necessary to perform our obligations under our contract with your organisation, or to operate your account;

(c) where disclosure is required by law or court order in Hong Kong; or

(d) where disclosure is necessary to prevent or address an imminent threat to the safety of any person.

6. Retention of Your Information

We retain technical information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Your related organisation is responsible for the retention and deletion of personal data it manages, in accordance with its own privacy policy.

7. Security of Your Information

Your information will be kept strictly confidential in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We will not disclose it except as provided in this Privacy Policy.

We deploy network protection systems and administrative safeguards, including industry-standard firewall and password protection. These measures are reasonably designed to protect information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction, and against other unlawful forms of processing.

Only employees who have a reasonable need to access your information for the operation, support, or administration of the App may access it.

The App is controlled and operated in Hong Kong, and we store information in Hong Kong.

8. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to revise or update this Privacy Policy at any time without notice, and the updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last Modified" date and will be effective as soon as it is accessible; however, if we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you via the App. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
